2026-07-15
A study published in the current issue examined the effect of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on the functional fitness of young football players.
Over an 8-week experiment with 34 athletes aged 15–17, the experimental group's VO₂max rose by an average of 8.6% (p<0.01), while the control group showed no significant change.
The authors recommend integrating HIIT systematically into the training of young footballers. The full article is available in the current issue.
